Dog and Cat sitter in the lovely town of Harrogate
We live in Harrogate, a lovely spa town in North Yorkshire. Our terraced house is opposite Valley Gardens a beautiful botanical garden, with the town centre being an easy five minute walk away. They don't need much attention, so you'd have plenty of opportunity to explore Harrogate and the surrounding area, including both Leeds and York which are both easily accessible by both train and bus.
Both our dogs are quite elderly, they're very relaxed and not at all demanding, they don't need much exercise but do like company. Our cat is also quite easy maintenance using the window to come and go. One dog needs thyroid medication in the morning, but takes this happily on a piece of bread. All three animals are extremely friendly.
Our Home & Location
Our home has 4 bedrooms, three doubles and one that's used as a office/TV room. The neighbours on both sides are very pleasant and the location is ideal for anyone wanting to explore either Harrogate and the surrounding cities or head out into the Yorkshire dales, and some of the beautiful market towns nearly. We don't have a much of a garden but are fortunate enough to have Valley Gardens, a beautiful botanical communal park opposite us.
Responsibilities & Pets
Both dogs need walking twice a day, and a quick walk around the block on an evening before bed. The cat comes and goes by herself, but we tend to leave her in at night. All 3 are elderly so not high maintenance. Monty (the spaniel) needs medication on a morning, he happily has this on a slice of bread. Maisy our labrador doesn't need much attention but does love having people around, and Molly the cat rules the roost.
