Lovely Smallholding on the edge of the North York Moors England
We are a busy family in a small friendly village with lots of animals to care for. We have a lovely farmhouse and stables with 10 acres of land on which to walk and the sheep graze. As we are on the edge of the moors we have plenty of unusual plant and animal life to observe. the land is steep in places so it keeps us active!
Our Home & Location
Our house is between Pickering and Whitby. The coastline is only 30 mins drive as are the attractions of the historic city of York. There is a local bus but we recommend you bring your car to explore the countryside. The house has extensive rooms over two floors and will easily house a large family. Part of the house date back to the 16th Century. We have lots of space outside and there is a lovely tea room in the village serving home made cakes and two pubs within walking distance selling locally sourced fayre.
Responsibilities & Pets
We have a small flock of Herdwick sheep who are a hardy breed and will not require daily care. In addition we have a Cockapoo puppy who shares the house with our cat and 2 further gun dogs who are kennelled outside. In addition we have a flock of Muscovy ducks . There is a large garden that would welcome being tendered if you feel the urge. We also have a separate cottage in the grounds where a grandparent lives. He doesn't need attention but always likes a chat.
