Luna our shephard cross collie needs a sitter for 2 weeks :)
Myself and my partner Elliot are both 24 years old, this is our first home, we have known each other since we were 11 and our house and doggy are our world. I am a nursing student at Northampton general hospital and my partner has recently left the army where he was a paratrooper. We mainly spend our weekends with family, attending a group dog walk for charity every Saturday and holding dinner parties with our friends. We are heading to Spain, Saturday for a week and have had a brilliant past experience using trusted house sitters. She is a lovely loyal dog who we rehomed from a animal shelter (See feedback). The previous family (including children) who house sat for us, ask to take Luna out for walks on occasion. We do not want her in kennels and our busy working family wont be able to give her the full exercise and time she needs. Luna can sit, paw, speak and lay down. She understands most commands ( get in your bed). She is extremely clever and everyone who meets her falls in love. We would love for someone to take care of our home and our lovely pup while we are away to take the anxiety away from us and Luna.
Our Home & Location
Our home is a 3 bedroom, terrace, Victorian house located near central Northampton town. We are a five minute walk from two big parks (racecourse & Abington park) and a 5 minute walk from Wellingborough road which is full of pubs, cafes and shops. The shopping centre is also less than a 10 minute drive away. The neighbours are lovely and very quiet. We have a double spare room, upstairs toilet, downstairs bathroom, underfloor heating in the bathroom and kitchen, moderate size garden (no maintenance required). We have Wifi, Sky tv and Netflix. There is an M&S at the top of the street and two newsagents at the bottom of the street. The house is very clean, tidy and has smoke free.
Responsibilities & Pets
As Luna is young and an active breed she requires a good walk or two a day. We do ask that she is asked to sit before crossing the road. She is great off the lead, with children and with other dogs. She has been neutered. She is insured and up to date with all vaccinations, fleeing and worming. Luna is a rehomed dog and suffers from separation anxiety after being abandoned. If you do have to leave her alone at any point please shut the kitchen door and put chair in front of it. (If she is left in the kitchen she can open the fridge, clever girl). We also ask if you can dead bolt the front door ( the key will be provided) On arrival home after she has been left she can be very excited and jumpy. Also due to her anxiety we have her bed in our bedroom. She is fed twice a day and we do allow her on the sofa.
