Pets and house-sitting at home beside the seaside
We are a couple in our early 50s, who share our house with our glorious gang of Five Furry Four-pawed Fiends....I mean, Friends ;) Two Irish Setter brothers (11 years), and three Cocker Spaniels (5, 11 and 12 years).
Our Home & Location
Our home is part of a Grade 1 Listed barn conversion split into two cottages.
It consists of two official bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor, the kitchen and sitting room plus a toilet on the middle floor, and the Snug - which also features a Churchill sofa-bed if needed, Study/music room and a shower room on the ground floor.
The cottage is set in the very peaceful private grounds of Hunstanton Hall park, and has a moat running through the garden.
Muntjac deer, sheep, ducks, and numerous beautiful birds of the night, garden and sea can be seen and/or heard.
It is half a mile to the entrance to the hall grounds, and another half mile to the sea, or slightly less into the village of Old Hunstanton, which has a local shop/Post Office, hairdressers/barbers, three pubs plus a Michelin Star restaurant pub. Also has the attraction of Le Strange Barns Craft and Antique shop.
Just around the corner is the town of New Hunstanton with numerous shops, facilities and attractions, including Sealife and the fairground.
Responsibilities & Pets
To care for - feed, water, walk, play with/give affection/attention - to the dogs.
They do not have to be babysat every hour of the day - but must not be left overnight, so the sitter can go out during the day and/or of the evening....
Just to maintain the house in the same way we shall leave it....we do not expect house cleaners, but obviously care and respect for belongings etc;) + More info
