4 cats need a sitter for forthcoming bank holiday
my name is Justine and my husband is Glenn. We are both in our 40’s and live with our four cats in a 2-bedroom semi in a lovely town not far from Nottingham.
We have 4 cats. 2 don’t get on, but we find keeping them apart is ok. One of our cats has 80% sight-loss too. They are all rescue cats and are lovely with people. Very fussy! As we have to keep Piper and Nosey apart and in order to allow Drummer to still have outdoor time, we have a ‘catio’ available as well as the garden which 3 of the cats use.
Drummer has to have a vitamin tablet every second day and he also has chicken poached for him daily as he has some issues with his digestion. They are lovely cats - all real characters!
Beeston has a fabulous range of restaurants and pubs. We are around 400m of a railway station (great links to Nottingham, derby, Birmingham and London) and we are around 3 miles from j25 or j26 of the M1.
We have a Motorhome and try and make use of this for weekends away which is where a sitter will become invaluable. We also like to take long weekends abroad and try and fit in a couple of little her holidays each year.
Thanks for reading.
Our Home & Location
Our house has two smart TVs with Sky on Both. We have great speed broadband, WiFi is available through the house and garden. We have a super-king size bed in the bedroom and a pull-out in the spare bedroom (currently used as my home-office). We have the usual kitchen white-goods including dryer and dishwasher. We have a wonderful lady, Mary, who cleans every Friday morning for us. Should this be an issue, we can ask her not to come. We have a lovely garden with plenty of furniture to enjoy time outside. There is also a large gas bbq/grill outside and a patio heater. We currently only have a bath in the bathroom - this is being renovated at the moment (new suite and flooring is in, but no tiles are on the wall yet. The bathroom is fully functional though as long as you don’t mind a bath!)
Very happy to answer any questions that you may have!
Responsibilities & Pets
Responsibilities will be keeping the cats as happy and well as possible whilst we are away. Drummer needs special care and attention due to his sight-loss (which he is still getting used to) and he also requires a vitamin tablet every second day. He has to have freshly cooked chicken daily too.
Piper and Nosey do not get on. They will need to be kept apart all the time (or closely supervised if in the same room). We just move them around the house to ensure that they don’t come into contact....
Three of the cats tend to hang out in the catio most of the time. Nosey likes to go out into the garden, but we make sure she is in before dark.
Piper and Maisie also go into the garden, but generally not for very long. Piper and Nosey don’t go outside in the garden at the same time, if one comes in during the day, the other can go outside. It sounds more complicated than it really is! + More info
