Cotswold Farmhouse in Large Village
We are going to visit relatives in October and are looking for a caring, experienced sitter to look after our young Irish Water Spaniel, our cat of a certain age, and our old house.
Our Home & Location
Our house was built in the 1880's and has a large kitchen diner, a large sitting room, a utility room, and four good sized bedrooms. We have lived here for around a year and a half and are slowly renovating the house - it's all functional, but we are enjoying updating some of the features of the house.
We are situated in the gorgeous Cotswold village of Shipton-under-Wychwood. Shipton is within a short drive of Burford and Chipping Norton and many other beautiful historic towns. The village itself has a petrol station, a village shop, a doctor's surgery, a wild garden and several footpaths. Shipton adjoins Milton-under-Wychwood, which has, also within walking distance, a Co-op, a dentist, a vets (our pets go there), and more footpaths.
Sitters would ideally need a car, though use of the family car could be negotiated.
Responsibilities & Pets
We have two pets - a cat and a dog. The cat is very independent and just needs food and water checking daily and litter cleaned every few days.
Our dog is young and energetic and requires two walks a day, which would ideally give her two hours of exercise. She is very affectionate and people-oriented and loves a cuddle when everyone is relaxing.
