Dog Sitter Wanted
My name is Lauren, I am 21 years old and own my first home with my finance Greg who is 23. I bought our puppy Coby, who’s a cockapoo, for Greg for his 23rd birthday in February and Coby is now 9 months old. We are getting married in May 2019 abroad and going straight onto honeymoon afterwards in June and require someone to come and look after Coby in our home for the 3 weeks, he will be 18 months then. In September me and Greg will be picking up a new puppy who will be 8 weeks, he is a cavapoochon he will also require looking after and will be 10 months betime the wedding comes around. We will treat him how we did Coby and ensure he is trained and toilet trained by then, just like Coby is now at 9 months. For a living I carry out Learner Recruitment and Greg is an Electrical Engineering Designer. This will be our second house sit since we have been in our new home, but my mum has house/pets sits all the time for her Pomeranian. We both enjoy taking Coby out onto Dartmoor for walks and spending time together just us two.
Our Home & Location
We live in a 3 bed, semi detached house, which is over 3 levels. The lounge is on the bottom level with the kitchen/diner and 'snug' room on the middle level with all the bedrooms then being on the top level. Coby loves to run up and down all the stairs in the house, so much that we get worried he goes a little too fast for his legs!!! We live in a family neighbourhood and about a 10 minute drive from the City Centre. We live within an estate that is linked to a main road which has a bus stop just as you come out of the street with direct buses into town and to the hospital. We have about 3 co-op's in the space of about a mile from our house, 2 within an easy walking distance and one a little further away. The main supermarket which is closest is about a 5 minute drive would be Sainsburys. Asda, Morrisons and Tesco are all within a 10-15 minute drive away also. We live about a 5 minute drive from the A38 so easy access to get up the country to explore more of Devon, or go down the country and see parts of Cornwall. The Tamar Bridge to get into Cornwall is about a 10 minute drive down the A38 from our house. All within about 10 minutes from our house is attractions such as nice restaurants, the cinema, the train station and the life centre which includes different activities.
Responsibilities & Pets
Coby requires a 20-30 minute walk in the mornings and then another 20 minute walk in the evenings. He might sometimes sit down and look back at the house but once he gets going he is fine. He has his breakfast about 8am and his tea about 7pm. He is toilet trained but always be sure to keep an eye out in case he does need to go so the odd accident doesn’t happen now and again. As he is still a puppy he does require alot of attention and alot of playing, which he loves!!! He knows some training words such as sit, lie down, paw and up and will do all four on command. He is and always has been very good through the night, he sleeps on his bed in the kitchen, which we put him in about 9pm and he sleeps right through with no crying/barking until about 7:30am. We do both work full time and he is at home during the day, of which we know he just sleeps throughout the entire time and when we go out we lock him back in the kitchen. Someone who it fit and active is essential.
When we know more information on new puppy we will update this and keep you informed....
Keep the house clean and tidy as if you would at home, ensuring the side gate is always closed so Coby can't escape. Bins are put out on the correct days and the back and front doors are locked as necessary. + More info
