Dogsitter needed for loving labrador in Plymouth!
Hi - we are looking for someone to look after our lovely dog Sam and two (outdoor) rabbits, Olaf and Buddy while we're away. We like travelling and previously our nephew house sat for us but he's moving away so we're looking for someone else. Ideally someone who loves dogs and has a bit of experience! I work for the University of Plymouth and my husband is a computer programmer. We like going to the local beaches, finding country pubs, walking, gardening, films and travelling.
Our Home & Location
Our house is a 4 bedroom 1930's semi with a drive - it's a really comfortable family home with plenty of space. There's a large kitchen diner with bi-fold doors looking over the garden and we've just completed a loft conversion which is now a guest room with en-suite. We have all the usual family tech - wifi, sky etc. We don't smoke. We live about 2 miles from Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican which has restaurants and cafes and is great - the energetic can walk or there are regular buses. The City Centre is a bit closer about 1.5 miles - again there are buses or an easy walk. Dartmoor and Cornwall are on our doorstep and its a fabulous place to live and visit. Our community has two pubs and a Tescos and co-op plus a nearby park and field for walking Sam. You don't need a car but it'd be useful if you want to travel around Devon and Cornwall.
Responsibilities & Pets
We're looking for someone to live in and walk and feed Sam twice a day. He's getting a bit older (he's 9) and can't do long walks but loves a short walk and sniffing around the field or park. He needs feeding twice a day and being a labrador will remind you when its food time! He likes lots of attention and loves people but is happy to be left on his own and is used to it being part of a busy family. He is a really easy dog who rarely barks and likes a good snooze in a comfortable spot. He's not allowed upstairs and knows this! Our two rabbits just need feeding twice a day and are low maintenance. They can access their run and outdoor space at all times so don't need letting out or putting away.
