Looking after Louie - the lovely shih’tzu
We adopted Louie nearly a year ago. He’s now 10 years old and although we have family and friends who are always willing to look after him while we’re away, we feel that perhaps he would be happier in his own home. We, that is my husband Chris and myself Jean, like to go on holiday a couple of times a year. I’m retired and Chris is a marine engineer. We have a grown up family and 6 year old granddaughter.
Our Home & Location
We live in a small 3-bedroomed detached house in an area of Southampton called Bitterne Park. The house is in a quiet cul de sac of 24 houses in quite a hilly area. We have far reaching views of the city and beyond from both front and rear aspects. The city centre is just over 2 miles away and we are very near main bus routes. There are local shops within easy walking distance. There’s a driveway and garage in the front of the house and a south facing rear garden with large decked area. We also have a conservatory which we use all year round. There are beaches to the east and west about 25mins drive, and the New Forest is on our doorstep. The lovely city of Winchester is 13 miles away. Close by is Alresford with its watercress beds and Watercress Line steam railway.Southampton is a big, spread out city. As a working port there’s a lot of industry but we have lots of parks and green spaces in the city. There’s a big shopping centre with many good quality restaurants.
