We live on the outskirts of Burton on Trent and love to travel. We would like to have a reliable dog sitter for approximately 3 weeks a year and also the occasional weekends away to look after our 2 lovely but typical cocker spaniels. Both dogs are house trained, very gentle but love to have a good play. Children, big or small don't frighten them in the slightest.
Our Home & Location
We live in a nice quiet street in a 4 bedroom detached house, 2 bathrooms and both with baths and showers. Drive to park your car if you bring one. We have an enclosed garden for the dogs to play in safely. We are only 2 minutes walk away from lovely wooded areas that lead down towards the river giving access to numerous walks? If you want to go a little further afield there is the Peak District for leisurely days out. All amenities are within easy walking distance but expect a bit of a hill either on the way there or on the way back, depending on the route you choose.
Responsibilities & Pets
We would like to find a dog companion for our dogs to love and care for them while we are on holiday, taking them for walks, feeding them and giving them much needed cuddles. Both Toby and Dolly are used to being left for several hours on their own so you won't be restricted to having to be with them all of the time, if you want to go out and explore the sites and sounds of Burton or just a little of the local brew (Burton is the brewing capital of England) they will be happy to be left for an evening or an afternoon. If you do want to go out for a full day to one of the fairly local theme parks then I will leave phone numbers of people that can just pop in during the day to check on the dogs.
We don't expect you to clean the house, it is your holiday as well, we have a cleaning lady that comes in once a week and unless you tell us otherwise she will be happy to come while you are here.
