I'm a divorced teacher who's looking for someone to house and pet sit while I go to visit family and friends throughout the year.
Our Home & Location
Stansted is an old village with a Norman Castle and windmill. The Norman Castle is open throughout the spring and summer, it is well worth a visit. The Castle has lots of animals roaming around, including a family of peacocks who can often be seen wandering around the village. Even though we are close to the airport the village is quiet as it is not on the flight path- being parallel to the runway. It is close to Cambridge and it is also easy to get into London on the train.
The village itself is quite pretty with a number of good restaurants and pubs. People are very friendly and helpful here....
My house is an old farm workers cottage from the early 20th century so has some character.
There are many nice walks around the village and lots of quiet country lanes that you can cycle around. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Just making sure the dogs are walked, fed and looked after. Both dogs are well behaved and friendly.
The dogs are both old so don't really need a lot of walking anymore but they do like to go out for a stroll a few times a day. When out Kas likes to say hello to everyone she meets and generally people are happy to fuss her.
