Introduction

Welcome to the Lock Keeper's Cottage on Blaker Island. A country house in the old industrial east end of London, on the River Lea. We would like the house to be occupied whilst we visit our family over Christmas and new year to deter any

The house has 3 bedrooms, a kayak, a piano and very friendly neighbours. 10 min walk to the nearest tube (stratford), bus stop 2 min walk. It has an interesting history. In early 1800’s the island on which this house stands was occupied

Responsibilities

- put blinds down in the evening and up in the morning - turn on the outside lights in the evening - water the grass every day (we just laid new turf) - put the lights on when you're in - enjoy the house - we do not have any pets to look
