Sitter needed for two cats in quiet Oxfordshire village.
I am recently retired, having been a graphic designer for a publishing company. I am in my 60s and am enjoying a quiet life in my garden which has 4 ponds with goldfish, sticklebacks, and minnows. Last year I rehomed two very lively kittens from the Oxford Animal Sanctuary, Morris and Maisie, brother and sister, now 1 year old.
Our Home & Location
The cottage is one of a terrace of 4 bradstone farm workers cottages, built around 1790, on the edge of the village opposite Tackley Station. The village has a shop, pub, and church, and is close to Blenheim Palace, and a short walk from the Oxford Canal, and the River Cherwell. It is well connected with a station and regular bus service.
Responsibilities & Pets
Morris and Maisie are two tabby cats, brother and sister. They need feeding every day, and I keep them both in at night from dusk until 8.00 am, with a dirt tray, in order to keep down predation. They have a cat flap (not electronic) which I shut at night. They are very lively and playful, and would benefit being played with in the evenings to tire them out if the sitter has time. I have several ponds with fish, who only need a pinch of fish food daily, weekly in winter. In summer the garden will need watering in a dry spell.
