Fancy a short break with my lovely Sheltie in a Somerset cottage?
Would you like to look after my Sheltie & cottage while I'm away?
A single person or couple would be ideal....
A car would be a necessary as the cottage is in a small village 7 miles from Wells. + More info
Our Home & Location
We’re situated in the Mendip Hills, a beautiful part of Somerset, designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage sits nestled in amongst a few others on a quiet lane beneath a wood in a small friendly village.
In spite of it’s seeming rural isolation though Bristol and Bath are just a half hour’s drive away. But you don’t really need to go that far for sociability as the local village pub is also a restaurant and, since it’s run by the Manager of “Cold Play", frequently offers live music....
The cottage itself is over 150 years old, with lovely old stone walls, little nooks and unexpected hatches, and is decorated with artifacts from my career as a sculptor and my years in Turkey & Greece.
There’s a decking area built off the bedroom which offers a great en-suite garden with views across the valley to the lakes and across to the Welsh mountains.
All in all it’s a lovely place to spend some time, especially in the company of my sweet dog, Esha. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Esha is very easy to look after, she loves company and will be very happy to go for short walks with you or accompany you on trips out in your car. At the ripe old age of 13 she only requires 2 short walks a day and one stroll in the evening, she’ll happily spend the rest of her time snoozing in her dog bed.
The cottage is small and easy to look after....
The deck roof-garden and the front patio flower pots require watering in the summer and during dryer spells, but other than that there’s no up-keep needed. + More info
