Well behaved Labrador sitting in Wiltshire
Hello. We are Richard and Clare, and live in Steeple Ashton, which is 3 miles from Trowbridge in Wiltshire, and only 13 miles from the beautiful historic city of Bath. We have a spacious house, set in beautiful gardens in 5 acres of land. We have 2 very well behaved Labradors called Cali (9 year old) and Mindl (1 year old). They both love walks, and with plenty of walks directly from our house, they rarely have to go on the lead, as they are both good at recall. Being Labradors, they also love their food, and sleeping! We like to go on holidays, or even just away for the weekend, so we are looking for house sitters for various dates.
We also have 2 horses, who are kept on our land. However, these can be looked after by separate arrangement, so there is no requirement to have any horse knowledge.
Our Home & Location
We live in a rural property, which is just a short walk to the village centre where there is a fantastic friendly pub which does good food and has a great atmosphere. There is also a village shop that is run by the community.
Our house is a 5 bed roomed house, 2 of which would be available for house sitters. There is a large open planned kitchen, with an aga, therefore this room is always toasty warm (although we do turn it off in the summer). There is also a conventional hob and oven for those who are unsure of cooking on an aga! The whole house is heated, so is also warm. There are 2 sitting rooms, both with logburners, for relaxing in in the evening....
Trowbridge is 3 miles away and there is a large Tescos and other shops there, and Devizes which is a nice market town is 6 miles away. We are 13 miles from Bath and Stonehenge , Avebury and numerous National Trust properties are all around 45 mins drive from here. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Cali and Mindl (Labradors 9 years old and 1 year old respectively) are well behaved, friendly, good with other dogs and children. Mindl in particularly loves attention, and Cali loves to have a ball thrown for her. We would like them to be treated as your own, and they are fed twice a day, and have one hour long walk per day. In the summer, they can wander freely in the garden. They are happy to be left up to 4 hours. They are very uncomplicated, and also enjoying sleeping (lots!).
