4 bed house in a North Warwickshire village setting with one loveable dog
Mike and I moved here in 2013, buying our first home. One of the first things we did was go to the Dogs Trust 'just to have a look' at the dogs. A week later Bailey (previously known as Martin!) came home with us. Our family grew bigger this year when Annabelle was born in March.
I work as a primary school teacher close by and Mike is an Railway Engineer. We both love outdoor sports; mountain biking, skiing, kayaking (Mike more than me), and this is how we like to spend our holidays. Previously Bailey has been to kennels when it isn't possible to take him along but we have always felt guilty as he doesn't get exercised very well and sometimes our trips are over 2 weeks long. We're hoping that we can find a house sitter who will make our holidays better for Bailey!
Our Home & Location
Our house is located in the village of Baddesley Ensor. It's a 4 bed semi detached house on a quiet street. There is plenty of parking at the front and a small garden to the rear. We have one room with a king size bed which has an ensuite, a double room, a nursery and an office.
The village has a pub and a social club with a snooker and pool table, two shops, a fish and chip shop and lots of woods to walk in....
We are close to several local attractions;
Battle of Bosworth centre,
Drayton manor park,
Tamworth snow dome,
Birmingham City. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Bailey is fed twice a day and walked at least once a day. He is very strong when he is on the lead and has a tendency to pull if he sees a cat or dog he isn't allowed to talk to. When we first got Bailey he was sometimes aggressive towards smaller dogs and can still be unpredictable but is so much better now. He loves chasing squirrels and rabbits in the woods by the house. He is very loveable.
We also have a fish tank inside and a small pond outside, both of which need feeding regularly. The pots and beds outside need watering daily, and have a few house plants.
