Our Home & Location
Shifford is a substantial 4 bedroom house, seemingly designed for dogs. We have a dog room with grooming table and bath. The house has 2 living rooms / Kitchen plus a bathroom and En suite off the main bedroom. We do not have White Fluffy carpets and lots of delicate Knick Knacks for the dogs to wreck.
We have a good sized lawn for the dogs to play in and many local walks where they can roam off lead.
A Dog Car (an old Freelander) is available allowing you to preserve your own vehicle from muddy paws.
Our local town is Redditch with all the usual supermarkets. We also have a good selection of Farm Shops nearby....
We are near junco 3 of the M42 for ease of travel. Busses non existent + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Our three Springers, show type, are fit and healthy, the only medication being 1 tablet morning and evening for Zeta who has a thyroid problem.
We normally walk them for about 30 minutes daily on flattish walks to protect the pups hips and elbows - if he is not there the adults will go for as long as you wish. We chose walks where they can be off lead - the Heart of England Forest is very close....
Typical, gun dogs, the adults will eat anything and lots of it, and try to steal, so food control for them is important, the puppy can eat as much as he wants.
They can be left for 3 hours without coming home to accidents.
All are kept in show trim - 2 being shown - so need brushing daily. + More info
