Lovable little dog needs company for a week
I am a retired Company Director & love to travel. My plan is to do a few short trips abroad before I'm on my zimmer frame ! I usually drive on the Continent & take Jack with me but on occasions it's not possible. Jack is going deaf but that's about it, he's healthy & sleeps a lot due to being 16 years young, but when he's awake is playful & loves nothing like a chase...he used to do this with his brother Russell who sadly died last year...we both miss him terribly. He loves company & loves car rides so is easy to look after.
Our Home & Location
My detached 3 bedroom house is in a little Wiltshire village, it is in a newly constructed quiet cul-de-sac just off the village high street with only 3 other detached properties. I have Sky & Internet. My neighbours are a delight & always willing to help. Everyone is very friendly. There is a small supermarket a 3 minute walk away that caters for everyday needs, it also has a post office. The nearest 'big shop' is on the outskirts of Amesbury a 10 minute drive away where Tesco & Lidl can be found, Amesbury village itself is well serviced with an artisan bakery & coffee shop...there is also an Aldi . By car.... Salisbury Plain is 5 minutes, Stone-Henge is 10 minutes,, Salisbury town with its Cathedral etc is 25 minutes, Jurassic coast 1 hour & Hungerford with its antique shops & canals is 20 minutes. When you arrive I am willingly to show you a few of these places should you wish it.
Responsibilities & Pets
Jack only needs very short walks on Salisbury Plain ( off the lead ) as being deaf & old he gets anxious & wants to go back to the car after 10 minutes ! Surprisingly he is very happy to go sight seeing around towns & is no problem I believe its because he has his harness on & feels safe...also lots of different sniffs...being a terrier he's very curious so bounces along. He also likes car trips....I have his blanket, basket & water at all times in the car. Jack does sleep a lot but when awake is ready for a game !
