House sitter for two Labradors, various dates - coastal setting
We are both retired and would love to get some winter sunshine but can't bear to kennel our two doggies for any length of time. We're hoping to find an active retired dog loving couple who would enjoy staying in our modern home close to the sea. Our two dogs Oscar and Kylie enjoy three walks a day, their food and sleeping in between! They are very friendly to both humans and other dogs and love nothing better than being fussed. Our home is very bright and comfortable with a good broadband connection. The beach is just two minutes from the house, with lovely walks all around. Facilities are a short walk away with local buses going to Ayr town. Our dogs are fine to be left on their own but no longer than four hours at the most please.
Our Home & Location
Our home is bright and spacious and our dog sitters would enjoy an en suite bedroom with a sea view. The area is very quiet of traffic , but lots of people pass by with their dogs and families taking children to school. We have a really good fish and chip shop a short walk away, together with an Indian Restaurant and the Balgarth Pines Pub Restaurant with a daily special menu fifteen minutes walk away. There is a lovely promenade walk into Ayr seafront which takes a bout forty five minutes walk each way which is doable if you stop for lunch at the dog friendly Wellington Pub in Wellington Square. Our back garden has table with comfortable chairs to take advantage of any sunny weather that comes our way. For those bad weather days we have Smart TVs in three downstairs rooms with Netflix. Super fast broadband.
Responsibilities & Pets
Oscar and Kylie to have an early morning walk usually 30 to 40 minutes. Then breakfast and a dental/joint chew. They usually sleep then until 12.30/1.30 when they have another beach walk. They then have their last meal of the day about 2.30/3.00. About 6.00 pm or later they have another walk to an enclosed park area where they can be off the lead.
If a vacuum could be done every day downstairs because of dog hairs that would be great....
The back garden requires no work except watering the plants in the summer. There are small lawned areas in the front which are fine to be left. The bins would need to be put out every Thursday. + More info
