Sitter for friendly cocker spaniel in Edinburgh
I live with my student daughter in Edinburgh, in a spacious, traditional house close to the city centre with lots of parks, woods and green space nearby. We love travelling but hate leaving our dog Murray and prefer him to be in a home environment. He is used to company as I work mainly from home but can be left for a few hours by himself. He loves walks and is usually very obedient (unless he sees food or a cat on the horizon!) Edinburgh has lots to offer, literally on our doorstep with good public transport options.
Our Home & Location
Our home is a 3/4 bedroom traditional semi-detached house in a quiet residential street, just minutes from a bus stop and a large shopping centre with supermarket, cafes etc. We are 10 minutes by bus or car from the city centre, Edinburgh Haymarket railway station and 15 minutes from the famous Forth Bridges. We have a large garden and friendly neighbours. There are several lovely dog walks within walking distance or a few minutes drive away ranging from woodland to a beach promenade to a hill (next to the Zoo!) Lots to do and see nearby, especially during Festival time (August) and Christmas/Hogmanay. However at other times of year its less busy and plenty of free options including museums/art galleries/gardens etc.
Responsibilities & Pets
Murray needs two walks a day but this can be flexible - eg 2 x40 minutes or a longer walk in morning and a shorter one later on - and several outings into our large garden. He loves company and is good with other dogs and children. He is also happy to snooze while you get on with other activities, can travel on buses and trains if you want to do an outing and also is happy in the car. He is fed morning and evening.
