Housesitting in Edinburgh
As my animal family has grown I sometimes can't take them all with me. I show my dogs and occasionally will need a sitter for a short period to look after the dogs I can't take with me.
I am semi retired as a technology manager for a large bank and as well as looking after the animals I am a counsellor with a private practice.
Our Home & Location
i live in a beautiful village on the outskirts of Edinburgh. There is a bus service which will take you to the city centre in about 50 minutes, but a car is very useful. In the village there is a small supermarket and a couple of restaurants /pub. But with a car there are a number of large supermarkets and it opens up the potential of walks in the Pentland Hills.
You will have the use of the guest bedroom with twin beds and an en suite with shower. There is a well equipped kitchen and a utility room with washer and dryer. There is a living room with Freeview TV and a BluRay player....
There is a hot tub in the garden which you can use. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
The household responsibilities will just be to keep the house clean, vacuuming carpets etc.
The cats are easily looked after, Cookie likes to go out most days but should come home before it is dark. Boris will only go out occasionally. They are free fed on dry food and there is a litter tray in the utility room.
The dogs like a lot of attention, being close to humans is important for them and they need mental stimulation more than long walks but they won't object to walking....
Being Poodles their coats are wool which means they don't shed but the coats will matt if they aren't bathed and blow dried frequently or they get wet. If you are staying for a longer period then I would ask that any of the dogs in long coat are bathed once a week. If you have no experience in grooming then I can provide instructions.
The dogs are fed twice daily with dry kibble. + More info
