3 bed Carnoustie.
John is registered blind. He works for Deafblind Scotland and travels to work with his guide dog Peat on the train each day. I am a teacher at a nearby Secondary school. John was 60 this year and so we booked a cruise. Our children usually come and house sit for us, however this year this is not going to be possible. Therefore we need a house sitter to look after our elderly dogs and Peat who has only recently come to live with us.
Our Home & Location
Our home is situated right next to the sea. It is a 100 year old semi detached stone built house that sits in a walled garden. We have 3 bedrooms and an office. The master bedroom is ensuite. Halfway up the stairs there is a family bathroom. Downstairs there is a living/ dining room, kitchen and sun lounge. We have Sky, Netflix and Amazon prime. We have gas central heating, and for when it gets really cold a coal fire and a wood burning stove.
Although we live within easy walking distance of the railway station and Carnoustie town centre this is a very quiet area. Carnoustie is famous for golf and again the golf course is within easy walking distance. Angus has many local attractions such as walking in the Angus Glens and Glamis Castle. Our nearest city is Dundee and is 10 minutes away on the train or there are busses every 20 minutes during the day.
Responsibilities & Pets
Our elderly Staffordshire Bull terriers just need to be loved and fed. They are very friendly towards humans and other dogs. They love walking on the beach.
Peat, also loves people and other dogs, he is not a good at coming back to his name so I would suggest that he stays on his lead for walks. He will eat seaweed which is very bad for him so he has to wear a basket mask when on the beach, which he hates.
