Primarily dog sitter for 3 collies. Also have 11 bantams & 2 Indian Runner ducks
I have been living in the Scottish Borders for the last 28 years. I have three children who have grown up there & have now flown the nest. I am a grandmother who loves her children/ grandchild but have recently bought a house in France in order to move there permanently & start a new chapter of my life. I cannot afford to go at present, as I need an income & also need to sort my house in Scotland in order to put it on the market next year. My life is very busy as I have three border collies, eleven bantams & two ducks. My dogs are lively & full of bounce (ages 1 year, 5years & 12years)That said, they calm down within 10 minutes of you being in the house. I would need an assertive person/couple to deal with them. They are used to country walks off the lead & go off the road when a car comes
Our Home & Location
I live in a 3 bedroomed cottage in a rural location. It is 6 miles from Jedburgh & approximately 50 miles from Edinburgh. Ancrum is within walking distance to reach a local pub. Great for walkers & cyclists. I live in a hamlet of 6 cottages. I have a self contained room in my garden aswell with a bed & a woodburner in it
Responsibilities & Pets
Walk dogs twice daily & feed them. Usually one short walk & a long one. They can be left for a while (3-4 hours) at a time.
Bantams to feed, collect eggs & shut in at night...
2 ducks to feed & shut in at night
Cutting my grass ( small lawn ) would be a bonus but not essential! + More info
