Dogs, cats, poultry in the Scottish Borders
We are a couple working in social care and we love living in the countryside. Due to family visits to the Netherlands we have to leave our animals occasionally. Our dogs are mostly rescue dogs who love to go for a walk twice a day. Despite being older they are still fit and enjoy running about. Thijs (Twinkie) is our young tripod cat who adores Hugo who is currently on walkabout. Our four Runner ducks are real characters, inquisitive and very funny. Our 2 chickens have some issues with each other but are very friendly towards us. All the birds are very sociable and love following us around the garden. We also enjoy watching the wildlife in our garden and feeding the birds.
Our Home & Location
Our new cottage is full of character in the grounds of the old Bowling Club. We live on the edge of Bonchester Bridge a small village in the Rule Valley in the lovely Scottish Borders. Border Forest Park, Northumberland National Park and Kielder Water are within striking distance. A beautiful area for hill walking, mountain biking, bird watching, forest trails and bronze age hill forts. A wonderful environment for photography, painting, relaxing.
Bonchester Bridge is located very centrally: 1 Hour drive to Edinburgh, Newcastle, Carlisle or East/West Coast.
