Please look after me!!
We are both retired. My husband used to be an accountant and I was a physiotherapist. I worked in a number of places - mainly in the UK, although I did spend a year in Australia. My husband trained as an accountant in Edinburgh. He came from The Lake District originally. We have lived in the same house for 25 years and have friendly neighbours. We are looking for a carer for Cara whilst we are away on holiday.
Our Home & Location
We have a detached 4 bedroom house and garden on the outskirts of North Berwick. 5 minute walk across the golf course to the beach. All mod cons. 2 bathrooms and separate shower. The sitter would have access to the whole house except for my husband's study. Train station is about a 15 mins walk away where you can catch a train to Edinburgh. Bus stop about 10 mins walk which will take you to North Berwick or westwards to Edinburgh and villages en route. Having car would make life a lot easier as the shops are about a 30 minute walk although a local garage keeps basic supplies.
Responsibilities & Pets
Looking after our 11 year old labrador is the most important thing!! She is starting to slow down so the walks can be a bit shorter these days! She has 2 walks a day, but the 2nd one is only a short outing. We have to keep her on an extending lead if walking on the beach otherwise she eats rubbish (typical labrador!) If there are golfers playing on the golf course then a lead is needed again as she is ball mad - not popular with golfers when their ball is pinched! She is starting to get a bit of arthritis so we no longer throw balls for her as it increases her limp. She is extremely friendly. She is fed twice a day and takes medication twice a day (in her food to easy to administer). We love our wild birds so filling the bird feeders would be much appreciated. No gardening required in the winter!
