House/pet sitting in the beautiful Upper Clyde Valley
We’d love to have a responsible person or persons to look after our wee family of animals if we decide to go away, whether for a few days, or a couple of weeks (unlikely to be more).
Our Home & Location
We are lucky enough to live in a small cottage in a rural setting, not far from Biggar in the beautiful Upper Clyde Valley. We are situated within a small group of five or six houses and have wonderful neighbours.
We have a good sized ‘farmhouse’ style kitchen which has an ‘aga’ type range cooker. There is one bedroom (with an en suite WC), which sitters are welcome to use, or the option of a sun room with a double sofabed....
There is a small sitting room, which we use mostly in the Winter, which has a log burner.
There is a bathroom with bath and shower and a bright sun room, which we use as a living room.
There are small gardens, both front and back, which get the sun all day.
Local attractions include New Lanark Heritage Site and a Lead Mining Museum.
There isn’t a shop in the village, but there is a small general store about 4 miles away and supermarkets in Biggar and Lanark, with bus links to both. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Our sitter would be responsible for feeding our dogs, cats and chickens.
Dogs would need exercised, cats would need to be let out when necessary and brought in at night. Chickens would need to have a basic level of daily coop hygiene maintained and eggs collected daily....
The garden would need to be kept tidy depending on the time of year and length of time we would be away and any dog mess would have to be lifted daily and disposed of. + More info
