Rural Retreat in Shetland Island with a Cute Little Character
We are a married couple who live with Molly the doggy on the Northern Scottish Island of Shetland at the southern tip. Having a 2 bedroom cosy holiday cottage means you can stay there whilst looking after this adorable little dog.
Molly is a cute 5yr old little terrier who really enjoys life and human company, particularly as there is usually someone with her most of the time. Over the past 9 months she has developed occasional seizures (fits) for no apparent reason according to the vet. Therefore although this doesn't often happen (on 1-2 days a month) we don't want her going into boarding kennels. Just in case she does while we're away, if you can remain calm if a situation arose and keep her safe and sound whilst taking it in your stride we would like to hear from you....
The dates are with the option for the sitter to stay on for a further few days before & after our return. + More info
Our Home & Location
In return for looking after Molly you'll stay in our newly refurbished 2 bedroom holiday cottage located in a remote, quite and tranquil rural coastal village, away from the hustle and bustle of town life on the island of Shetland. This would suit folk who like nature, walks with inspiring land/seascapes for those interested in writing or arts & crafts it's 4 u.
It is aprox 6 miles from Sumburgh airport (Loganair/British Airways), 23 miles in Lerwick the main town is where the overnight Northlink ferry arrives from Aberdeen, Scotland you may wish to book your car with you. There is a small local convenience store 1.7miles that has a broad array of goods, otherwise all requirements can be found in Lerwick....
There is a lovely local beach within less than 1 mile on down the lane called Quendale Bay and others dotted around nearby.
