Home in the country
I am widowed and retired from a career in nursing and as a self employed counsellor. Some of my hobbies are walking, dog training, gardening, reading and cooking. I enjoy volunteering for charities that empower others.
Our Home & Location
I live in a three bedroom house surrouded by the garden of half an acre. There are amazing views of the glen from every aspect. The conservatory soaks up the sun and facilitates a warm place to watch the birds.
Tulloch Mor, house name, is 5 miles from Alford where you could enjoy the Grampian Transport Museum, a Dry Ski Slope, Haughton Park, restaurants, shops, public houses, churches, library and a swimming pool at the Alford Academy....
My home is 35 miles from Aberdeen which offers many shops, theatres and the seaside. Deeside lies 15 miles over the hill where all things 'Royal' can be found.
There are many way marked walks and forest tracks both in Donside and Deeside. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Feed dog and cat twice a day. Walk dog at least once a day, free running off the lead where appropriate. Play with dog and cat - toys provided! Pip is a rescued dog, at the age of 7years , her owner too ill to look after her, and Pip has spent a lot of her life by herself. Pip loves company and playing and in the has only had sticks to play with so defaults to chewing and playing with them. I have nearly managed to train her to ignore sticks and play with toys, ball, frisbee, dumbbell and other toys and is now quite happy to play and understands the command 'finish' when I've had enough! Pip came to me in June 2017 and has settled well and enjoys hers and my routine. I hope to get a cat to give Pip some animal company.
