Smallholding sitters required in beautiful Snowdonia location
My husband and I live on a 40 acre hill farm (run as a small-holding) in the grounds of the Snowdonia National Park. We would love to meet some house-sitters that can get to know the animals and the routine for semi-regular short break cover and the odd holiday.
We have two beautiful Hungarian Vizsla dogs - Harry (6) and Wynter (pup) that love to be cuddled and played with and taken for walks on the farm or to the nearby beach....
The rest of the animals are pretty self maintained and just require a morning and evening feed round, although the horses especially love some fuss. + More info
Our Home & Location
We live just south of Caernarfon about 300m uphill in the Snowdonia National park, with arguably the best view of Snowdon in the area! The 3 bed farm house is situated in 40 acres of land and has an enclosed rear garden.
We have neighbours just a few hundred meters away that are very helpful with the animals so you are not isolated. There is a village 10 minutes drive away with a couple of grocery stores, bakery, takeaways, chemist and all amenities needed....
If you love the peace and quiet then this is a beautiful place to stay!
Suitable for families with older children (10+) as older dog is nervous of youngsters. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Morning feed round for the farm animals (generally takes 30-40 minutes to top up feeders, check water troughs etc). We have local neighbours who are on hand if there is any concerns regarding the livestock.
The dogs need feed and exercise but it is as much about mental stimulation as it is going for walks....
Aside from the animals we would love our sitters to enjoy the farm house and feel at home. We are also very happy if you want to go and explore further afield with the dogs. we can supply a fully insured 4WD vehicle (nissan navara) for the duration. + More info
