Whippet care in Llyn Peninsula
We are Helen and John, retired and living on the borders of the Llyn peninsula within sight of Snowdonia. We're country lovers, fond of gardening, walking, music and reading.
Our Home & Location
We live in a nineteenth century cottage, small with only two bedrooms upstairs, but spacious and rambling downstairs, and with a large garden. There are solar water heaters and woodburners with oil central heating as back up. It's in a small village (no shop!) between two areas of outstanding natural beauty- the Llyn peninsula and Snowdonia, with infinite possibilities for walking and swimming. There's an infrequent bus service, but you'd need a car to get the most out of staying here.
Responsibilities & Pets
We have one pet, Cadi Haf, a lively and affectionate whippet cross, who loves to be cuddled and dislikes being alone, so we don't like to leave her in kennels for extended periods. She needs regular walks, obviously, but above all she wants to be with people, so we wouldn't want her left for more than a short period, say a half day or evening. We hope she'd accompany you on walks anywhere -on the lead (she's very well behaved) because this is sheep country and she's a typical sighthound and likes the chase. Many cafes and pubs welcome dogs and she knows how to sit and be quiet.
Apart from that, if anyone wants to mow the lawn and titivate our largish garden, they're welcome!
