Our Home & Location
Lovely historic 17th Century farmhouse with double height lounge, with stunning views from kitchen and set in it's own 5 acres surrounding by fields but a 5 min drive from Hay on Wye where there are lots of shops etc. Lots to do in local area including hiking, bike riding or just driving through the mountains admiring the sensational views. The house has been refurbished throughout, and is equipped with everything one could need to enjoy a long stay. Obviously, it's our family house, with our things still in place, but you would have your own bedroom, bathroom and enjoy the run of the house!
The house is available in the Winter time, so guests will need to be aware that Herefordshire is cold and the house is at times draughty.. We have a fab wood burning stove in the lounge, which pumps out lots of heat, creating a lovely cosy atmostphere.. plus electric blankets in the bedrooms and mobile electric radiators to help keep the other rooms cosy, but please bring warm clothes and we will leave instructions on how to use the wood burning stove in the lounge and guests should use the main central oil heating sensibly!
Responsibilities & Pets
House sitting and looking after 13 month old cavapoo Polly. Our adored family dog is the most chilled out pooch.. Polly loves a good walk, every other day is fine, and there are plenty of lovely walks around us..She also settles really well in cafes if you walk her beforehand.. At night, she is totally happy to snuggle up with you on the sofa.. Such an adorable easy dog to housesit and look after.
