Sitters wanted in beautiful Mid Wales
I am retired, virtually an empty nester (youngest away at university and my eldest lives in Spain) and now single. I have done many interesting and challenging things in my life, have travelled extensively and lived and worked overseas (in Africa). I am in the process of downsizing and am hoping to move into my new home soon right next door to our favourite dog walking woodland and parkland, a wonderful nature reserve and estate with a beautiful country house with great restaurant and art library. I love animals, wildlife, walking the dogs, travelling, reading and life in general.
Our Home & Location
I am hoping to move to a detached four bed house on a small estate in the heart of the small village of Tregynon just outside Newtown in Mid Wales. There is a smallish garden but large enough, and within a three minute walk of the house is the large Gregynog Country Estate and Nature Reserve which is a fabulous place to walk dogs. There is a sizeable village store, garage and post office just around the corner, Newtown is 4 miles away and Welshpool about 8 miles away.
This is a beautiful rural part of the world, friendly and with lots of countryside activities.
Responsibilities & Pets
The animals would need to be fed daily (and Lily given her arthritis meds) in accordance with instructions left and Alfie needs a decent walk every day. He also loves chasing tennis balls and there is an area across the road (about 3 mins away) designed for dog excercising. Poo bags are needed for this area and bins are available. Lily is very old but does like a short walk a couple of times a day and likes to have a small bounce off the lead in a safe grassy environment.
Maisie is self sufficient apart from needing feeding but might occasionally join you for walks.
They all love attention, hate being brushed, and Alf will play all day if you are willing. Once he gets the message that it's not play time he settles!
