Rhondda Cynon Taff
Hello there, I have never used a house sitter before as a member of my family has always been available.
However, I have decided to take the family away for a few days as it will be my 60th birthday early next year so I have nobody I know to stay here....
I am looking for someone who has experience with dogs and cats, I also have a budgie and hamster.
The animals are not used to strangers so it will need to be someone with patience and understanding. The dogs are very friendly once they get to know you. They are 4 sisters and will be 12yrs old in July. Toto is the smallest of them and the "Baby" of the family, she is very timid and nervous. They went to kennels many years ago and all had a traumatic experience, so I would sooner cancel my holiday than put them through that again. Our cat Milo, is 6 month old but we do not let him mix with the dogs on his own as they are still getting used to him. I would also like someone who would respect my home as it is my pride and joy. + More info
Our Home & Location
Our house is situated in the Rhondda Valley a former mining town about 20 miles from Cardiff.
We are surrounded by mountains which we can see from every window in the house....
We are near 2 railway stations and there is a regular bus service during the day , once an hour after 6 p m.
The house itself is detached and set in about 1/3 acre of garden, surrounded by trees. Very quiet and private.
There are local shops within walking distance as well as sports centre which has a swimming pool.
Asda is only a 5 minute drive away.
Treorchy is only 2 miles up the road where you will find a lovely little shopping centre with a number of High Street Shops and cafe's/takeaways.
We also have a lovely local pub where they serve very good food at a reasonable price. + More info
