Tranquil Easy Living at Lake Havasu
We will be leaving to New Zealand for several upcoming winter months and would like to offer our home while looking after our two adorable pups!
The breed of both pups is a "Bitsa" - the Kiwi term for "mutts" which means a "bitsa this and a bitsa that" My hubby is from New Zealand and they actually use this word when referring to dogs with mixed breeds (gotta love those Kiwis!!!!)...
Pokey is a terrier mix - we rescued her when she was @ a 1 yr old. She had lived in a small apartment and in a crate her entire first year of life. She is now 5 and still has some issues with strangers but once she warms up to you, she is your buddy for sure.
Tiggy is another one we rescued when she was dropped off at the shelter with an eye injury. She was only 2 lbs when we got her and had no idea what she would end up looking like. We had her DNA done and she is a Shih Tzu/Pekingese/Terrier mix. She absolutely LOVES Big people - small children, not so much - and she is also not keen on other dogs either. She loves to cuddle.
Both dogs are very well trained - they do not leave the doorway outdoors unless given the "okay, come" command and they also sit and wait for their dinner until you give them the "okay" as well. There is a dog park near our home - Pokey will run and play with the other dogs but Tiggy will pretty much just stay by your side and ignore the other dogs. They both LOVE to be walked though and we try and do that twice a day.
Our home is a modest 3 bedroom 2 bath @1,600sq.ft, with a walled backyard and NO PLANTS, with the exception of a few potted plants on the patio that would need to be watered. We have a GAS BBQ as well as a charcoal BBQ to enjoy meals outdoors which include some spectacular sunsets.
Lake Havasu has so much to offer in the winter months as Snowbirds flock from all over the world to escape the cold.
If you are looking to stay in an area with no rain, warmer weather, and cuddly pups, our home is for you!!!! + More info
