House and Pet Sitting needed for aging pets
We have 7 year old almost blind, diabetic chihuahua and a 18 year old Calico cat. We are planning on church retreat from October 4-13, 2017. We will be traveling to Texas for the retreat. Are unable to take our babies, definitely do not want to board them out. Pogo, the chihuahua, receives insulin injections twice daily (morning & evening) before his meal. He has arthritis and sometimes has difficulty going up and down stairs. Was abused, so very timid around people, especially men. Peaches (the calico) requires basic care and companionship.
Our Home & Location
We live in a two-story house on a cul-de-sac, next to a walking trail. Across the road is a wildlife preserve. We are about 2 miles from the White Tank Mountains Regional Park. The Wildlife World Zoo is 4 miles away. Peaceful and serene area!
Shopping at Walmart, Fry's about 5-6 miles away. Post office and Outwest Country store are about 4 miles away.
Responsibilities & Pets
Pogo will need his insulin injections before his meal in the morning and evening. He is totally housebroken. Will need to be let out in the fenced backyard, but likes having someone with him especially at night. He is almost blind so needs to be approached slowly. Needs carried upstairs to his cage at night. Peaches needs attention and encouragement to eat and drink. Also will require cat box to be cleaned.
