Looking for house and Dog Sitter for my German Shepard
My name is Chiamaka, I am a physical therapist and work full time in Tucson. I live in my home with my German Shepard (1yr 3months), he is quite the character. I travel internationally on occasion to visit my family, which is why I am currently looking for a sitter. I am easy going, my puppy is a ball of energy, and very fun to hang around
Our Home & Location
My home is a 3 bedroom house, with a yard, fenced in and detached from the neighboring homes. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the freeway, to access downtown Tucson. There are gas stations and grocery store within walking distance. PetSmart is approximately 2 miles east of my neighborhood and Pet emergency is about the same distance North.
Responsibilities & Pets
My puppy (Ryder) is doggy door trained and is able to go potty on command at the back of the house, he might wait for you to come outside before he goes (50% of the time). He is poop shy in public except at the dog park. He goes to potty first thing when we wake up, after we go exercising, when I get home from work, and after meals. He is able to let you know when he needs attention.
Due to his high energy and anxiety when I am not home, he has been crate trained since 13weeks and stays indoors except when he goes to potty, play or exercise. His play area in the house is the hallway leading to the rooms. He understands lights out means sleep, Sometimes he might whine to get attention....
I would like a sitter that can take him on his morning walks/run or the dog park when convenient. He needs his food put out all day as he tends to eat whenever he wants. I do not use treats as rewards but he gets a treat when I leave home, when he finishes his meal and dentastick every other evening. His stomach is very tender and treats outside of the ones he is used to result in frequent loose stools. + More info
