Beach Life with a Deaf Cat
Hi there! We’re Mia and Gabe. We moved to San Diego from Chicago 11 years ago. We both work for a local theatre company and love the arts. We’re the loving owners of Bubs, a 9-year-old deaf cat.
Our Home & Location
Our apartment is on the first floor of a three-story, 18-unit building in the Crown Point area near Pacific Beach. It’s a 1 BR, 1 BA, 720 square foot unit. There will be reserved space for one car to park in the driveway, though unfortunately we cannot offer the use of our car. We are approximately a block and a half from the gorgeous Sail Bay, and about a 15 minute walk to the ocean. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance, but our street is residential and quiet. We are roughly a 15-20 minute drive from the airport and downtown. We also have two beach cruisers (and bike locks) inside the apartment that you are free to use.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feed cat twice a day and provide fresh water and clean litter box once a day. He’s very sociable and friendly, and needs snuggle and play time.
He is deaf so he won’t hear you come home even if he’s sitting near the door, although he’s good at sensing vibrations. If he’s sleeping when you return home (oftentimes inside our closet), he needs a gentle wake-up by tapping the ground (or couch) near him....
If you wouldn’t mind collecting our mail every so often, it would be much appreciated! + More info
