Dog and housesitting
I am an actress. My husband, Mark, is a retired university president. We like to travel whenever possible, sometimes short weekend trips and at other times longer vacation trips.
Our Home & Location
We live inland, near the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains. Our street is just 2 blocks long, with single family homes. We're situated just one block west of a major avenue, along which are grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and other retail businesses. In spite of this proximity, our neighborhood is wonderfully quiet. Pasadena is called the City of Trees, and our block and surrounding streets are a testament to that, giving a warm, enveloping welcome to anyone who drives or walks along the streets.
Responsibilities & Pets
Our home needs are minimal, plant watering, turning on automatic sprinklers (only 2x/week, as we are in the midst of a drought), mail pickup (on our front porch) and things of that nature. Our dog, Bamboo, is a people-friendly 65lb. red-nose pit bull, with beautiful hazel eyes and a reddish coat. He can be very energetic or a big lazy lug who just lays around all day. We have a huge backyard and he's in and out all day as his whims dictate. But he always sleeps inside at night, ALWAYS. He is not an outside dog. He drinks gallons of water during hot months so we are vigilant about checking his water bowls several times a day. While traveling, we like regular and frequent updates on how Bamboo is doing. Short videos or still photos would be nice, too, but optional. He's not used to being alone all day long so we'd prefer someone who is willing to be at home more than away.
