Los Angeles Hillside getaway Housesitter needed
My beloved home (I call it The Treehouse) includes a mostly outdoor, loving kitty named Miles and a low maintenance lizard in his tank named Miles. Also included in this magical space are my silly and awesome dogs Yoda (boxer/pit-56 lbs) and Mimi (blue heeler/cattle senior, 60lbs) . Because Yoda can be a bit vocal and exciteable (and very loving), someone experienced with his breed mix or something like it is best. My 1 bdr 1 bath (625 square feel of cozy awesomeness) home is perched on a hill overlooking the Los Angeles skyline and Dodger stadium fireworks (for this, there are lots of stairs from the street to the front door!), and, even though it is adjacent to major freeways and public transportation, feels like a mountain retreat.
Our Home & Location
My place is in a great location about a 20 minute drive from all cool LA attractions, like Universal studios, Santa Monica and Venice beaches, the Valley, the San Gabriel National Forest and more. The Treehouse, as I call it, is in a triangle area of 3 major freeways that all go to downtown, as well as all directions. The home is minutes away from LA's public transportation Metro line, so most attractions can also be gotten to via the rail/subway. Minutes from LA's Chinatown and Downtown, as well as Union station and the LAX flyaway. If you don't want to be stuck with driving all the time, there is off street parking available to you and taking a Lyft or Uber a short drive to the Metro Gold Line will grant access to most major activities. If you feel like laying low, my home has an incredible view of downtown from the upper patio and a lovely grilling area with picnic table on the lower patio. Central air and heat, washer dryer, and dishwasher. I have always felt safe here, and also have a fenced in yard with gate and a Home alarm system to give that extra assurance. LOTS of stairs from the street to front door (52 to be exact), but that is what you have to do to get a good view.
Responsibilities & Pets
I am an animal rescuer so my critters are used to tons of affection. Feed (at least once every morning) and care of my kitty, Miles, and occasional feeding of my lizard Moe (he lives in a tank that has automatic light and heat timers...doesn't even need to be handled. Just food dropped in every other day). Some outdoor watering if there's a heat wave. I will need an experienced dog sitter to also care for my 2 dogs, Yoda and Mimi. Yoda is a boxer/pit mix who is very vocal and affectionate, but can seem a little scary. Mimi is a heeler mix and is getting on in years...they adore eachother.
Someone responsible to remember to set the house alarm and lock the gate when they are out and about. My amazing neighbors also deserve a responsible housesitter when I am gone.
