Sweet Senior Kitty + Sweet West LA Condo (with a pool and private roof deck!)

Introduction
Hello! My husband Adam and I moved to LA 1.5 years ago from NYC and we love the constant sunshine, hiking, nearby beaches as well as the laid-back LA lifestyle. I run my own consulting business out of our home and Adam is a commercial producer and a classical music conductor.
We love to travel but always feel sad leaving our baby, Malcolm! Naturally, we were excited when a good friend told us about Trusted House Sitters as a safe and affordable way to give Malcolm amazing care while we are gone and also provide us with peace of mind that our home is being respected. We are very excited to join the THS family!
Our Home & Location
We live in a lovely, modern, bright two bedroom/ two bath condo with a pool and a private roof deck on the West side of Los Angeles. Our private, finished roof deck faces North/West, so you will have a view of the mountains and being just above the water line, the most gloriest sunsets! We keep a cozy and clean home and love to cook, so there are plenty of fun gadgets in the kitchen. Laundry is in the building, so no need to go far. Two professional BBQ Grills are located next to the pool/patio area.
Our place is 20 minutes from LAX, 15 minutes from Venice Beach, 20 from Santa Monica and a 10-minute walk to downtown Culver City (ArcLight movie theatre, Trader Joe's Market, various bars/restaurants). The building is quiet and has multiple security doors to pass through, so it's quiet and safe but very accessible to cool LA sights. The ExpoLine Metro station is a 6-minute walk from our front door, which takes you one-way to Santa Monica (20 minutes) or all the way to Downtown LA (45-60 minutes), in case you don't feel like battling LA traffic....
In terms of a car, you don't actually need one (especially if you are not familiar with driving), because Lyft and Uber are very popular here and the fares are much cheaper than NYC or Rome. We also live 6 minutes away from the Expo Train Line, which is very convenient. If you want to hike, visit Joshua Tree, Long Beach, etc., then yes, you should consider renting one.

Responsibilities & Pets
Our little Malcolm is sweet and talkative and loves to be around people. He's an American Long Hair who was rescued from a drain-pipe with his litter (all survived!) 15 years ago and was adopted by me right away. So we've been together for a very long time! Malcolm is so active, you would think he's closer to 6 years of age!
Malcolm never bites, hisses or scratches and is pretty low maintenance, but he does love attention, so he gets lonely if we leave him for longer than one night. Malcolm is strictly an indoor cat, having lived in NYC for most of his life, so he loves couch time, Netflix, sleeping, sleeping, sleeping, sitting on laps and his Zoom Groom brush. He is a bit skittish if he hears loud noises but will typically just hide if something bothers him....
We feed Malcolm premium wet/dry food and give him filtered water. Malcolm doesn't take any medications but we mix probiotics and glucosamine into his am and pm wet food.
