Lovely home in picturesque and historical Sierra gold country
Bob and I have done 23 house and pet sits all over the world. Now we are in our own home and are turning the tables. We are both retired professionals. We are traveling quite a bit and want to make a relationship with someone to care for our year old toy poodle Max, and our lovely appointed home.
Our Home & Location
Our home is newly renovated inside and out. It is across the street from Lake Wildwood and has no adjacent neighbors, sitting in a pastoral setting. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen has been totally redone and is part of an open plan. High ceilings and windows make it airy and light. Lake Wildwood is about 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe and many other mountain lakes and almost the same from the state capitol, Sacramento. The Yuba River and the oldest covered bridge in the west are just 10 minutes away. Grocery, pharmacy, doctor, dentist, cleaners, and hair salon are less than 2 miles away.
Responsibilities & Pets
The area where we live does not allow fences. When Max is outside, he has to be on a leash. There are many larger animals that could do him harm. We do have a doggie door to a dog run, but he needs to be taken outside to do his business every 4-5 hours. We try to take him on a walk in the neighborhood everyday. He is curious, so like a toddler, things need to be kept at a height he can't reach. He has completed 3 dog training classes and will have completed 4 by the time of our long time away. He is well behaved and very affectionate, liking to be right beside you. He sleeps in the bed with us. We leave him alone no more than 5 hours.
