Family home with large yard and pool
We are a family of 3 (plus the dog): Lailani, Jeff, and Skyler. Our pup Regis usually stays with a lovely pet sitter nearby, but we are beginning to take longer trips, so having someone to look after both him and our home is a much better idea!
Lailani is an independent business consultant, has lived in California since birth and and spends most of her free time entertaining a toddler. Jeff recently transitioned back into school full time, pursuing a second masters degree and teaching credential. He has already started substitute teaching and is excited for the drastic change from his previous career in environmental engineering....
Skyler is a two year old and likes to try to do everything for himself. He loves books and trucks and playing in the water. + More info
Our Home & Location
2.5 bedroom (our toddler’s room has a large bean bag, a chair with ottoman and a baby gate-no door) 2.5 bath, nice kitchen, a family room, living room and dining room. Plenty of room to spread out or hang out together. We have a nice big TV in the family room with lots of options for streaming services (Netflix, HBO, Showtime anytime, Starz, Prime video, others) through the apple TV or regular TV with the antenna.
Master bedroom has king size sleep number bed where you can control the positions and firmness of each side independently. The guest room has a super comfortable queen size bed....
There’s a bath/shower combination in the main bathroom and a stall shower in the master bath. The bathroom in the family room has just the toilet and sink. There’s a washer and dryer in the garage.
The neighborhood is pretty quiet and the neighbors are wonderful. Very quick access to the freeway to get anywhere in the bay area and just one mile from the town “village” shopping center. Easy walk! There’s a bus stop within a couple of blocks, but having a car is best if you want to get around easily. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Regis LOVES being around/on top of people. He decides when he is hungry and thirsty, so keep his water bowl and food bowl filled. Regis goes out in the yard to potty, walks are fun but not necessary. Special needs: 1) he takes a liver support pill (Denamarin) every evening. We put it in a little piece of cream cheese before bed every night and he eats it happily. 2) he has a collapsed trachea, so if you take him out, use his harness instead of a collar around his neck. He coughs occasionally- mostly in the morning. Don’t worry, it doesn’t bother him much!
Other responsibilities are:...
Rolling the 3 garbage cans (landfill, recycling, compost) to the front curb on Wednesday mornings to be emptied and bringing them back in on wednesday evenings.
Keeping the pool filled, clearing out the filter and running the cleaning robot. Our pool guy, Joe Cool, does the heavy lifting and chemical maintenance, but we have a giant beautiful tree that drops millions of leaves and the heat makes water evaporate, so we have to do upkeep between weekly visits.
Also, the front lawn needs to be watered every 2-3 days (there’s a hose with a sprinkler at the end) and the back yard sprinklers need to be turned on manually every 2-3 days as well, depending on how hot it is.
Ovidio takes care of the yard maintenance every two weeks, so no need for mowing or weed pulling!
Christina’s cleaning service is here every 2 weeks (next visit day/time is always posted on the fridge), so you’ll just need to make sure there isn’t any extra clutter in the way of their cleaning and stay out of their way while they work. Excellent time to go for a walk! + More info
