House sitting in San Francisco

Welcome to one of the most unique cities in the United States! For decades, San Francisco has attracted offbeat, quirky people, and now you can join them. When you go house sitting in San Francisco, you'll be able to explore the fascinating Bayside. You'll soon see why San Fran has been a top destination for many years.

House sitting in San Francisco gives you a chance to see the city from the inside out. You'll stay in the house of a local, looking after their adorable pups, kitties, or other pets. This gives you a remarkable opportunity to explore San Francisco. Get ready to discover one of the most special locations in California!

Exploring historic San Francisco

Anyone with an interest in history will find plenty to keep them busy in San Francisco. There's the Walt Disney Family Museum, which tells the story of the world's most famous animation studio. There's the Maritime National Historical Park, explaining the importance of this essential industry. However, for most visitors, there's one absolute must-see: Alcatraz. While you're looking after a dog in San Francisco, be sure to give yourself time to explore this notorious island, once America's toughest prison, and now a museum.

Walking dogs around San Fran

Taking care of a dog in San Francisco? Then you can't miss Lands End Park! This coastal park, at the mouth of the Golden Gate, offers you plenty of hiking trails to enjoy with the scent of the sea in the air. Dogs are welcome here, as long as they are on-leash or very well-behaved. From the trails, you'll have great views of the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Visit at low tide, and you'll also be able to admire several historic shipwrecks in the waters of the bay.

Mission impossible?

When house sitting in San Francisco, don't miss the chance to visit the Mission. This is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods and is still known for its fun, eclectic atmosphere and colorful murals that line many of the streets. In particular, foodies flock here to enjoy the delicious Latin American cuisine. If you're looking for authentic, freshly made tacos, there's no better place to find them!

Unleash your inner hippie

The city's other famous neighborhood is Haight-Ashbury, known as the birthplace of the 1960s hippie movement. When house sitting in San Francisco, it's a good idea to spend some time in the Haight, as it's known locally. Here you'll get a sense of San Francisco's golden age. Like most of the city, the Haight is very walkable, so it's easy to explore.
