House/Petsitter for a rambunctious group of critters
We have three dogs - Jerry, a Plott Hound, Buster, a dachshund mix, and William, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, who are inseparable and going every minute of the day and night; two rabbits - Sally (who rules the house) and Midnight (a feisty guy); and A bearded dragon, Greg, who loves to socialize and soak up the rays. All enjoy their outdoor freedom (supervised of course) and lots of love.
Our Home & Location
Novato is on the northern edge of Marin - we live right next to charming old downtown Novato on a secluded, quiet cul-de-sac, 45 minutes to the beach, 30 minutes to San Francisco, and 20 minutes from wine country.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feeding and playing with the dogs, as well as hanging out with them on the hill (the outer part of our backyard) to enjoy their outdoor time. William is especially high energy and loves to run up and down the hill. Feeding and caring for the rabbits, who are quite spoiled and love to lounge in their pen outside in the summer. Soaking Greg and providing him with salads, as well as letting him come out supervised (if it's warm enough) and cleaning his tank when needed.
Our pets are quite spoiled! Lots of toys & bones, playtime, and of course, cuddles....
William does have epilepsy and currently requires a pill every 8 hours (the 8 hours can be moved to accommodate your schedule). So far, he has only had seizures at night and has not required any urgent medical attention other than making sure he is safe and that he rebounds quickly as he always has after having a seizure. Did you know you're supposed to give a dog a spoonful of vanilla ice cream after a seizure? We didn't either. + More info
