Easy access to hiking, shopping, & SF
We are a mom and daughter household. Both of us are in school. We enjoy the beautiful outdoors the Bay Area has to offer, and abundant activities. We like to travel when we can.
Our Home & Location
We live in Corte Madera, CA. The apartment is two bedroom one bath with an outdoor patio. The complex is right off highway 101 (you can see it, plus the majestic Mt Tamalpais from the kitchen window).
There is WiFi, Xbox one, and a large smart tv in the living room with Hulu, Netflix, YouTube TV etc....
Both bedrooms have a queen size bed and an air purifier.
The kitchen has all your typical amenities such as dinnerware, utensils, cooking supplies, blender, toaster oven (no microwave).
There is a laundry facility on site. $1.25 to wash. $1.00 to wash.
The neighborhood is safe with 10/10 school district ratings. We are less than one mile to a Trader Joe’s, Safeway, and nugget market. There is also two shopping centers half a mile away with eateries, Macy’s, Nordstrom, urban outfitters and much more.
Nearest beach is 20 minutes away. It’s called Rodeo Beach. But there are many other beaches nearby, too, such as Stinson or Muir beach.
Muir Woods National Park is 20 minute drive. (Reservations required).
10 minutes drive to the Golden Gate Bridge.
30-60 minutes from Napa and Sonoma wineries. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Responsible for the daily care of one dog and one cat.
The cat, Kiki, is a 9yo lynx point Siamese female. She is easy. Daily food, water, and snuggles. Litterbox is located in the bathroom and will need to be scooped out every 2-3 days. She is allowed to go outside but it’s at your discretion. If she does you won’t see her until it’s pitch black and no one is around the complex as she is skiddish when outside....
The dog, Arthur, is a 6yo lab/pit/beagle mix. He is a super easy dog with low energy but does also enjoying hiking and beach trips. He does well off leash, not aggressive or dominant, basically sticks next to people. His favorite things are invading your space and eating. He can’t get enough of them. I joke he needs a human companion. Hes 75lbs of cuddling. He’s totally fine when left home alone, doesn’t need to be crated. At most I leave him alone 6 hours. Daily he gets fed twice (AM and PM), fresh water, 1-2 potty breaks and 1-2 walks/adventures. He’s used to getting up at 7am and going to be around 10pm but that’s only because it’s my schedule. He will be able to postpone the early morning til about 9am without him pestering you too much. Even when he does pester he doesn’t bark, or paw at you ever, just small short whines infrequently. He isn’t allowed on furniture but will jump on the oversized chair when you leave the house. That’s fine.
Please note Arthur is an abandoned and abused rescue dog so he can be very cautious of strangers at first. He needs someone patient and gentle and who isn’t afraid of a dog who needs warming up. He does quickly warm up though, especially when he realizes you’ve got pets and treats for him. That’s the way to his heart. He barks when people enter the home so be aware of this. He’s never bitten anyone. Just offer him treats while on the floor as you come into the door. Eventually after a few times of you re-entering he’ll realize you’re okay and the barking should subside. + More info
