Dogs, chickens and a quiet stay in one of the best towns in America at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains!
Enjoy the holiday season in small town America. My husband and I will be traveling again from December 21, 2018 through January 6, 2019. You can enjoy the ice rink, carriage rides, quaint stores and great restaurants. We need loving care for our 2 dogs and our 6 backyard chickens. We have a fenced yard for the dogs but if you wish to walk them, we back to a walking trail which goes forever.
Our Home & Location
We live in a small 3 bed, 1 bath house backing to a walking trail and a train track. Louisville was voted the #1 town in America many years in a row—it has a quaint downtown, good restaurants, walking/biking trails and is only 10 min to Boulder, 30 min to Denver and 45 min to the mountains. Our house is small but well equipped.
Responsibilities & Pets
The chickens need to be let out into their run in the morning & locked back in at dusk. They need food, water and of course, TREATS. They like humans and to be petted.
Walter Airedale is a large, happy dog who loves to play. He goes to Doggy Daycare once a week to see his friends. Gracie Mini-Dachshund is a lap dog. Walking the dogs is optional. There are also several dog parks in the vicinity if you enjoy that sort of thing....
Our garden should be mostly done by then so nothing much needed there. My adult children live in the area in case of emergency or questions.
Dogs may be left during the day while you explore, and we will provide a car for you.
Trains do run on the track behind the house on occasion—part of the ambiance of Louisville. Neighbors are quiet and friendly and our street in general is very quiet and is in easy walking distance of stores, restaurants and the downtown area. + More info
