House Sitting in Denver.
We will be traveling and need our dog, cat & 5 hens cared for. There are houseplants that will require watering from time to time. We are John and Pat. I am 73 and retired. Pat is 70 and works in private psychotherapy practice. We love our neighborhood. I have a mountain bike, which you are free to use.
We both love to ski, hike, ride our bikes and go to operas & concerts & cook
Our Home & Location
Our house is a one story stucco, tile roof Spanish revival, built in 1938. We, of course, think it has lots of charm. It is one story, 2,400 sq/ft. New kitchen, and two bedrooms (3 actually, but its is an office). We have Comcast with HBO, Netflix & Showtime and have high speed internet. We are in The tree lined Park Hill neighborhood, in the NE Part of Denver proper, 3 blocks from a bus line& 5 blocks from grocery stores. We are a 10 min drive from the train line that connects to out vibrant downtown (a 10 min ride) & the airport (1/2 hr ride). We have a very good restaurant within easy walking distance, and other good ones which a short drive away.
Denver has a dry, semi-arid climate (just 16" of precipitation per year), 300 days of sunshine.
Responsibilities & Pets
Care for & love our dog, Lilli, cat Harvey & tend our 5 chickens. The hens need to be let out of their houses in the am, & have door shut on them in the pm (they roost their on their own at dark). Please collect & eat the very fresh eggs. The will require water & feed, of course.
Lilli is a loving and entertaining critter. She came from the pound & as a result we are extremely important to her. She will be very unhappy at first. She is largely housebroken. This means that from time to time she doesn’t use the doggie door. She is fine if she is encouraged to go out intermittently. As of this post on 7/15, she has not made a mess in the house for over a month....
Harvey has a strange personality but he’s a dear soul. + More info
