Fall in Northern Colorado with LittleBit
We're located in pleasant Fort Collins and have a well-behaved and active terrier-mix that will need some company in June. LittleBit is 5 years old and is a great girl who loves to play and 'go'. She's eager to please and loves to play chase if you toss her toys, hike, and hang out in bars ;-)
Our Home & Location
Well. Katy and I luckily live in the fine city of Fort Collins along Colorado's front range. We are retired and enjoy all the area provides - hiking, fly fishing, music, O'Dells and New Beglum brew pubs (to name a few). Our children are out and about with their own lives and work. We include our terrier mutt - LittleBit - in most everything we do. She loves to 'go' - especially hiking & the breweries. Rocky Mountain National Park is in Larimer County via Estes Park and is a wonderful day trip.
Everything you need (food stores, shopping, etc.) are within a few blocks of our home....
Our home is in town near Colorado State University and the Fort Collins downtown scene. Our place is a cozy, modest 4 bedroom home with a full back yard for play and garedening. We love our kitchen (espresso and Kuerig), large screen tv (with chromecast), wifi, and very comfortable beds. We are in-process of developing a garden space in the back yard with vegies and flowers.
'Why leave during the Colorado Summer?' The weather is traditionally beautiful with warm sunny days and cool nights. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
LittleBit is low maintenance. She gets fed twice per day - in the morning (when you have breakfast) and jn the evening (when you have dinner). She has rawhide chews we stock for treats during the day & at night. She sleeps most the day and if the weather is nice (which it will be) you can leave her outside. Please keep her on the leash when walking her. She has little or no control if a squirrel or rabbit is noticed.
She will jump up on the bed at night with us; not sure if she will do that with other people.
The Terrier personality is prominent in our pup - she will 'protect' the perimeter of the fence by making sure dogs/people know this is her place, she is aloof to most dogs and likes little dogs, her time at the dog park is spend sniffing for the majority of the time. However, she is not a yappy little dog; she only barks if scared by someone or protecting the perimter. LittleBit wants to go and do; she goes most places with us....
Like most dogs, you will give her treats, let her know you are not a threat and she'll know you are fine. + More info
