Come relax in a new house with a quiet neighborhood and cuddle our pets!
Hi, my name is Brooke. My husband, Chris and I moved to Colorado from upstate NY about 9 years ago. We LOVE Colorado but often go home to NY to visit friends and family. We have two little girls and two dogs and two cats. We sometimes take our dogs with us when we drive to NY but when we fly we keep them home. Their names are Layla and Duckie, a border collie/lab mix and a dachshund/basenji mix. They are perfectly behaved and can go all day without being let out if something comes up. Our two cats names are Lucy and Marlo. We would love to find someone we can trust to sit regularly for us when we are out of town. We look forward to meeting you!
Our Home & Location
We just recently bought our home. It is a ranch home that was build in 2005 and was fully remodeled in 2018. It is about 1300 square feet. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a finished basement with laundry and another living area with a wet bar. Our backyard is fully fenced and has a nice little swing under grapevines. The neighborhood is very quiet and our neighbors are all wonderful! We live right off the highway so getting anywhere is convenient. There is a local grocery store in town, the town park is walking distance, and there are other local shops/restaurants. If you are looking for fun in Fort Collins, you can take the back roads or i25 right into town in about 10 mins!
Responsibilities & Pets
Our dogs are very easy to take are of. They need to be fed once in the morning and once in the evening (not at particular times). They will need to be let out as soon as they wake up in the morning (between 8-10 is their usual) and then throughout the day as needed. They don't like to be left outside alone, they like to just go potty and come back inside. They prefer to be where the people are lol. Also, the little dog gets cold really easily and prefers to be inside unless its hot out. The two cats need to be fed once in the morning and once at night (again, no particular times). One cat has full range of the house. The other cat has special needs. She lives in a giant cage. She is allowed to be let out during the day upstairs only with all bedroom and bathroom doors closed. She will pee on the brand new carpets if she is left downstairs or in the bathroom/bedrooms. She is the sweetest most cuddly cat though. The one who has free range prefers to not be touched by strangers. The cat litter boxes will need to be scooped once a day or every other day. I have some plants in the house but I will water them before I leave so they might need to be watered once, if at all depending on how long we are gone for.
