Rest Up, Enjoy The Fresh Mountain Air, Magnificent Views & Tranquility With Our Furbabies
Our names are Jesse and Sara. We have 2 children (3yrs and 5months) and moved to Conifer in April to get away from the city and enjoy the peace that nature and the mountains provide. We love to go hiking, be outdoors and have fun and spend time exploring the area and parks. Denver is about an hour so lots to do there too during the cooler months.
We are both self-employed. Jesse has created his own software program and does FB advertising. He loves hiking and simply being outside and is from ND.
Sara is a life coach - specializing in health and mindset work. She enjoys horseback riding, health and fitness, and yoga/mediation. She is also a LVT but currently a stay at home mom. She is from PA and loves the beach too!...
The cats love to hang out in the main office most of the time. The dogs love to be wth someone so will follow you around everywhere! The also like to burrow and snuggle up in bed <3 We have a fenced in yard for them but also a dog door and smaller fenced in area they can go in and out without having to be watched due to wildlife. The are boss girls at first - but once they get comfortable just want to love up on you! + More info
Our Home & Location
We live on Conifer Mountain away from the road and nice and secluded. That said, we are about a 10 minute drive away from the grocery store and other accommodations. Our home offers a theatre room, fitness room, 5 bedrooms, 6 baths (one with a steam shower), 2 gas fireplaces and 3 wood burning stoves plus two large living areas and a large office/cat room. We live on 5+ acres so can go for walks right out of the house and have multiple decks to sit outside and enjoy the views and beautiful weather most of the year!
While staying here - our house is your house. We would love to provide your favorite snacks to have on hand too! Feel free to get in a workout, use the steam shower or soak in the tub, and snuggle on the couch with the girls while watching TV! It is such a laid back atmosphere here and we love to sit and relax while listening to music over our surround sound speakers. Our girls are laid back but Pippa especially will NEVER turn down playing....
Nearby (down the mountain about 10 minutes away) are plenty of accommodations, and if you need more the Denver suburbs are about 30-40 minutes. Denver is about 60 minutes from here as well. So you are away from all the hustle and bustle but not far if you need or want to explore or get out! You will need a car to get around, and if during winter ideally AWD. There are tons of parks to explore within a 10-20 minute drive from the house; Maxwell Falls, Staunton Park, Reynolds Park and Mt Evans to name a few!
When staying at our home, we do expect it to be treated as a vacation rental. Although we want you to have a relaxed and peaceful time, we do expect things to be as we left them or neater/cleaner. Also, we would love lots of updates on our girls, and if any issues or questions arise ask you contact us immediately as we want this stay to be as comfortable for you as possible and for us to go away knowing our home and animals are in good hands too! We do ask you get the mail and any packages left and if you would be here on a trash day that you would tend to that as well. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
We have two small dogs - Kyah and Pippa and two cats - Emma and Ella. All the girls are very friendly! The cats tend to stay up in the office or as we call it their "cat room". The dogs will go wherever you go or be snuggled up under the blankets of the couch or bed. Pippa and the two cats are rescues and Kyah we got from a pet shop as they were not keeping her bc she was very ill. Sara is a LVT so we decided to take her and treat her and she, along with all the girls are amazing and loved (and they love us lots too)!
As for behavior - The cats are simple. Kyah is very timid at first but once she warms up is such a love. Pippa is a crazy nut at first but again the sweetest little girl ever! Being small dogs - they think they run the house so will bark like crazy when anyone new arrives, including UPS, or if something has alerted them. They are all very friendly and love people, kids too. They do great with our children and that is very important to us!...
We have a fenced in area that the girls access with a dog door for safety reasons living in the mountains with wildlife. We have a large fenced in area that they can be in but must be watched. We usually let them out their during the day, especially in the summer as they like to sun bathe on the deck and play out in the grass. When we go away, we do not ever leave them alone more than 5 hours, and they must be confined to our master bedroom due to anxiety (Kyah). We simply close the bathroom door and put a baby gate across our door entry for them.
As for the cats, when we go away and also at night, we shut the office door to keep them confined or they will yell and scream at all hours, and Ella will get into anything she can. She is a master at opening drawers and cabinets.
When it comes to food - the cats have a water dish in their room and we fill it as needed. Litter we clean out every other day, and they do have an automatic feeder so they are pretty easy to keep happy ;) The dogs we feed throughout the day by tossing them each a small handful of kibble. It keeps their weight down (especially Kyah) and allows for us to also give them treats occasionally too.
*It is VERY important to NEVER leave any food out just in case Ella is out or it is within reach for Kyah. They will get into it. + More info
